Hope everyone had a great weekend and is ready to meet this week with warm hugs. 🙂 I’m also saying that to myself since tackling Mondays are always the hardest! But thinking back to the weekend, I thought about this warm neutral smokey eye that made me feel oh so good! See below for a product breakdown. I also tried out a couple of new brands for my eyeshadow and blush/bronzer which I’ll link below and give you my thoughts on!
NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation ($49) & Tarte Cosmetics Shape Tape Concealer ($27): I used the shade Vallauris (this is Medium 1.5) and for the concealer, I used shade Light Medium Honey. I actually should have a gotten a half shade darker in the NARS foundation but I can make this work after warming up my face with contouring. The NARS foundation is amazing and I love the feel and look of it. It’s definitely long lasting and I especially love that it melts into the skin so well. I will warn that this may not be the best foundation if you have dry skin but remember to also properly prep and moisturize the skin before application. Tarte’s Shape Tape concealer is definitely one that blends well and has great coverage. (Side note: I do feel that when Tarte released their new foundation, they did not have enough of a shade range at all for such a high end product).
SKINN Patina Eyeshadows in the Metallic Vibe Palette ($22.50): This is such a great palette and so affordable at the same time. I used the three shades on the right of this palette to create the look starting with the orange-brown color in the crease, the dark brown at the outer corners and then the gold color in the middle of the lid. It was such a great warm neutral vibe and these shadows are definitely very nicely pigmented!
Cargo Beach Blush in Shade Miami Beach ($30) (this is a cool rose bronze according to the description on Ulta’s website): I’ll be honest, I’m not really a blush girl. I stick with bronzer and usually call it a day but when I was browsing the make up section of Kohl’s, I came across this brand and this product and thought this was a great way to get a little color in my cheeks without going overboard. The Beach Blush is a combo of blush plus bronzer in one with a little bit of shimmer to give you that great glow. I’d definitely recommend if you’re a little scared of blush but still want a bit of color!
MAC Satin Lipstick in Faux ($17.50) & Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Stripped ($20): I love first applying Faux all over my lips and then lining the outside of my lips with Stripped and blending in. This gives a great combination of color and the satin lipstick also keeps my lips hydrated. We all know how liquid lipsticks can get a bit dry!
Then top of the look with any of your favorite setting sprays and voila! You’ve got yourself a beautiful, warm, and natural smokey look!
Stay Vibrant!! XoXo!
